DWT specializes in the world renowned 1964-1973 Ford 4 speed toploader transmission. Dan started in South Florida buying, selling, and repairing used toploaders back in 1967. A few years later a transmission shop was started to rebuild toploaders. Soon afterwards, the DWT parts department was organized. When toploader parts were discontinued at Ford and toploader parts became scarce, a decision was made at DWT to manufacture their own parts.

DWT has now been in the toploader remanufacturing and the toploader parts busniess for over 35 years. Dan and the DWT company have devoted a lifetime to the incredible Ford toploader transmission. (All the wonderful things you heard about the Ford toploader transmissions and Ford 9'' rears are true.) Our company always strives to build the best toploader transmissions and manufacture the highest quality transmission parts possible.

We are the largest manufacturer of new toploader parts. We are also the largest stocking warehouse for original Ford new and used toploader parts. Many of these parts have been obsolete for years. 1979 AND UP MUSTANG AND CAPRI TOPLOADER CONVERSIONS

HURST SHIFTERS

 

Exclusively at DWT. We have revived the obsolete Hurst Competition Plus shifter for the 70-71 big block Mustang, 64-65 Falcon and Comet, 64-65 Fairlane, Sunbeam Tiger, Griffith, TVR, Cobra and Cobra Kit car, pickup truck conversion shifters and also 79 and up Mustang and Capri toploader conversion shifters. We stock all Hurst Ford T-10 shifters. Also, Race Car shifters, V-Gate II and Super Shifter III. ROAD RACE REBUILD KITS

 

DWT offers a Road Race version of our Master Rebuild Kit. This kit also includes a set of our special DWT Road Race bronze rings (the finest rings ever produced), a pair of Max type Road Race quality bearings, and three setscrews. The cost is only $25.00 over the standard Rebuild Kit. If you are serious about Road Racing, do not pass up this deal.

BUDGET REBUILD KIT

 
Kit includes input, cluster, and reverse needle bearings, all snap rings, thrust washers, all spacers, speedometer ball, dowel pins, case plug, 3 "O" rings, front and rear seals, tail brusthings, gasket set, 4 "C" springs, all long and short dogs, 3 set screws and complete rebuilding instructions.
 
When you buy the DWT rebuild kit, you get the DWT with the kit. MODULAR GEARS

 
We manufacture 3 piece modular input gears. Our gears have the long snout so they will work behind any Ford motor, big or small block. The shaft gear or the clutch teeth can be replaced separately. Modular gears are available with the small 1 1/16 input and the big 1 3/8 input, both in close and wide ratio.

NOTE:

 

There are 133 different toploader transmissions. To order parts, we must know the HEH or RUG tag information, the gear ratio, year of the car, case length, engine size and number of splines on the output shaft. Remember, if the transmission has a 28 tooth 2nd gear, it is a 2.32 close ratio transmission. If it has a 31 tooth 2nd gear, it is a 2.78 wide ratio transmission. To order shifters the casting number on the tailhousing would be most important. NOTE: We do not have parts for T-5, T-10, 3-speed, Muncie, Saginaw, automatics, etc. We only specialize in toploader parts.
